“The Business of Comedy Writing”

July 13, 2014 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$60 – $75

Content is king. Whether you’re looking to make a business of comedy or are looking to inject a little fun into dead pan biz writing, this class is for you!

With the rapid expansion of online streaming platforms and the shift of advertising dollars away from conventional print methods and over to new venues like branded web-series, there are more creative writing jobs than ever before! How awesome is that?

In this 3-hour course you’ll learn how companies are adapting to these changes. If you are an existing comedy writer, you will learn the basics of putting together a packet for shows like “Saturday Night Live.” If you are a business wanting to amp up your writing skills, you will learn how the tool of short form writing can help you with everything from blog posting to tweeting.

Whether it’s planning a small presentation, increasing social media visibility, taking your writing to the next professional or launching a new product, learn how vastly utilized creative writers are to their process and what you can do to prepare yourself for this new wave of creative opportunities.
