Improv Hawai‘i is a Honolulu-based improv comedy collective offering live shows, classes, and workshops for all levels, from total beginners to seasoned performers. Founded in 2012 by Hawai‘i-born actor Kimee Balmilero (best known for her series regular role on Hawai‘i Five-0 as Medical Examiner Dr. Noelani Cunha, Ronny Chieng and Friends, and the original Broadway cast of Mamma Mia), ImprovHI has grown from a simple community calendar into a creative home for made-up comedy in Hawai‘i.
Our performers and instructors come from many walks of life, including writers, musicians, teachers, data analysts, realtors, and working actors whose credits span TV and film, such as Lilo & Stitch, Magnum P.I., and Doogie Kameāloha, M.D., as well as comedy festivals like San Francisco Sketchfest and the Hawai‘i Comedy Festival. Based at our home venue, The Tiny Stage in Kaka‘ako, we’re a grounded, supportive group who love collaborating, taking creative risks, and making funny things up with other fun humans.
Come make stuff up with us!
