Strong, fully-realized characters with a purpose are the foundation of any scene in any performance. Commitment to your on-stage persona is a crucial tool for managing your audience’s perception of you. Unscripted Theater classes are every Tuesday and open to everyone regardless of performance experience.
Drop-In Class focus throughout May is building dynamic characters using a variety of skills. Topics include: development of your ‘other’ self, commitment, physicality and emotion.

About the Instructor: Aaron Pughes has been improvising in Hawaii since 2008. Wanting to establish more opportunities for comedians to perform, he founded Mr. Aaron Presents in January of 2011. Aaron has hosted over 300 events and created Hawaii’s longest running comedy open mic night, Comedy Hospital, every Thursday at Station Bar and Lounge. He has performed improv at the Oahu Fringe Festival in 2015 and made two appearances at Improvaganza. Aaron studied improv and sketch comedy writing with Second City’s Jeff Griggs and Jonathan Pitts and sponsored workshops led by Mike Brown of New York City People’s Improv Theater, Kyle Isao of Second City Hollywood, and Patrick Babbit of IO West.
