improv & sketch comedy in hawaii
Improv is a great tool for anyone to have. Whether you’re an actor, lawyer, comedian, entrepreneur, dog trainer, or whatever improv teaches you to think on your feet and allows you to adapt to unexpected events. Improv is all about reacting, staying focused and being in the moment. This class will introduce to the wonderful world of improvisation. Absolutely no experience required…and “NON-PERFORMERS” ARE VERY WELCOME! Zero Fear…ALL FUN! You will play and learn in a safe, positive and supportive environment. Perfect class to take for people wanting better presentation skills and who want to work on their public speaking. All students will walk away with more confidence in themselves and will be ready to face whatever the world throws at them!
Classes will be taught by local actor Kimee Balmilero (Original Broadway Cast of Mamma Mia, the Emmy nominated TV series Hi-5, Miss Saigon). Kimee has performed sketch and improv in LA in such venues as UCB, iO West and Second City. She’s received most of her improv training from UCB in LA and continues to take classes in LA with pro improvisers Suzi Barrett, Eugene Cordero, Eliza Skinner and Jim Woods. Locally, Kimee has worked with CampBiz Gym, Lemonade Alley, Mid Pacific Institute, Iolani Schools, Kamehameha Schools and more.
Classes are Thursdays Sept 12, 19 October 3, 10, 17.
