Improv as an Everyday Skill at the University of Hawaii – PNM

September 13, 2014 by improvhi

Improv is a powerful tool that everyone can benefit from every single day. Whether you want to break out of your shell, hone your public speaking skills, tighten up your business pitch, or just want to get your brain working differently, this workshop is for you! It gets you thinking on your feet and outside the box. GREAT for entrepreneurs, business folk, lawyers, teachers, performers, dogwalkers, and anyone else who likes to challenge themselves with new things. No experience required. Learn in a non-judgmental environment and walk away feeling more confident!

Originally from Kaneohe, Kimee Balmilero’s professional acting credits include Hawaii 5-0, the original broadway cast of “Mamma Mia,” “Miss Saigon” and “Hawaii Five-0.” While living in LA and NYC for 15+ years, Kimee studied sketch and improv at The Uprights Citizens Brigade and has performed at UCB, Second City (Hollywood) and iO West. She is the founder of improvhi.com and director of StoryU Arts, a division of the BBB Torch Award-winning BizGym Foundation that focuses on applying performance skills to business. A self proclaimed “Sillypino” she enjoys garage sale hunting, instagram-ing and dreaming of being a judge on “Top Chef.”

Supported in part by the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.
