The Cinema Game is Jean Louis Barreault’s exercise that teaches you everything you need to know about acting (except voice). Learn to develop complementary characters, strong needs, powerful transitions, subtlety, physical awareness, team work and create wonderful stories all in silence. 3 strangers enter a cinema with no direct communication they gradually become aware of each other and begin to interact changing each others lives dramatically. It is a simple exercise, it’s just not easy!
Wade Jackson is New Zealand’s leading improv teacher. He has spent the last 20 years ‘mastering’ The Cinema Game and is nowhere near it. He is however able to show others the path to one of the most demanding acting exercises of all time.
Wade has a Post Graduate Diploma in Drama (University of Auckland) and has taught this workshop in Belgium, at the Chicago Improv Festival (USA) and throughout New Zealand.
