Immersive Characters (201) – 6/5/25

Ready to take your characters beyond the surface? In this drop-in workshop, we’ll move past quick caricatures and dive into what truly makes a character come alive—their quirks, fears, motivations, and oddly specific lunch choices.

Through a mix of playful exploration and grounded scene work, students will learn how to:

• Make bold, fully realized character choices
• Tap into emotional depth and internal logic
• Build characters that evolve naturally in the moment
• Challenge common character tropes and push for originality

This class is perfect for improvisers looking to deepen their character work and bring more nuance, vulnerability, and hilarity to the stage.

Recommended for students at the 201 or 301 level or anyone with strong improv fundamentals looking to stretch their character chops.

Our classes are for students 18 years and older unless otherwise specified. Students aged 16 and 17 may attend with an accompanying, registered adult.
