About the Workshop…

You can bring in premises that we will flush out. Bring in already written sketches and we will simulate a real writers room to punch it up. How to write topical sketches, character sketches and more. We will also spend time focusing on how to hone your comedic voice through sketch.
Day Two: Sketch Performing In this class we will learn how to better perform sketch comedy. We will use already existing sketches to learn the best way to get the most laughs. Using the “game of the scene” we will hone in on what is funny about the scene and how can we maximize it. We will then focus on creating characters and how to use those characters in a showcase. Bring in exiting characters and learn tricks to make them stand out.
