This workshop is for improvisers who have completed Improv 201 or have equivalent experience and are ready to refine their character skills at a deeper level. Through targeted exercises and scene work, you’ll strengthen your ability to create dynamic, compelling, and consistently funny characters that enhance your storytelling and performance.

This class will focus on:

  • Developing characters with distinct voices, physicality, and emotional depth
  • Strengthening point of view to create clear, engaging scene work
  • Mastering status dynamics, relationships, and contrast for stronger comedic impact
  • Creating characters that are flexible, grounded, and sustainable across different formats
  • Finding authenticity while taking bigger risks and pushing comedic choices

This is an opportunity to break habits, explore new styles, and challenge yourself to make bolder, more intentional choices. Come ready to play, commit, and discover characters you didn’t even know were inside you.
