DESCRIPTION:Explore the fundamentals of improvisation through this exciting program which is geared for those with little or no acting or improvisation experience. It’s a great way to explore your creativity\, hone presentation skills\, explore spontaneity\, work without a script\, and become more confident and comfortable speaking in front of others. Students will learn the basic functions of improvised scene by creating characters and relationships while being in “the moment”\, they will learn to trust their instincts by developing the art of “yes and-ing” your scene partner\, explore different forms and styles as well as techniques\, learn to think on your feet and expand team building skills; all while having fun once a week in a safe\, non-judgmental environment. \nEach class meets once a week for an eight-week term \nThe introductory Level is the first of three class levels in the Fundamentals of Improv with Shannon Winpenny program.

DESCRIPTION:LAUGHTRACK: PAST\, PRESENT & FUTURE\, an improvised comedy show featuring the theater company’s most recent graduates of its comedy training program (Team name: HMSFB)\, LTC House Team Muslin Hamster\, and an ensemble of past graduates of the program. \nLaughtrack Theater is proud to christen the maiden voyage of The HMS Floppy Baby and the crew is just as zany as their vessel implies. Their mission: to thoroughly amuse you through their razor sharp wit\, subtle intelligence\, and boundless creativity. Bringing to the stage varied levels of performance experience and a healthy mix of comedic style\, the crew will deliver deadpan to slapstick\, everything in between\, and usually all at once! So all aboard and set course for hilarity on The HMS Floppy Baby! \nHMS Floppy Baby is Laughtrack Theater’s 12th graduating class. The comedy scene in Honolulu has grown quickly in the past year\, with open-mic comedy nights sparking at venues around Oahu. Laughtrack Theater is proud to count dozens of its students and graduates among those events\, as well as those who have made the leap to television in series such as “Lost\,” “Hawaii Five-0” and “The River.” \nMuch has changed in Honolulu’s comedy landscape since Laughtrack Theater opened its doors four years ago.
