SUMMARY:Level 201: Finding The Funny (must have completed 101)
DESCRIPTION:This class will take the tools learned in our 101 Basics classes and apply them to comedic long form improv scenes. Students will dive deep into finding the interesting or the “funny” of their scenes by building relationships\, identifying patterns\, heightening within the scene and exploring group games. \nAt the end of the 201 session\, students will have the opportunity to perform a showcase for invited guests. \nClass length: Six 2.5 hour classes = 15 hours of instruction\nPrerequisite: Must have completed 101 or 101C within 1 year.\nMax class size: 10 \nClass Dates:\n6 Mondays – 3/1\, 3/8\, 3/15\, 3/22\, 3/29\, 4/5 \nShowcase Date:\nMonday – 4/12 at 7pm (via Zoom) \nClass Cost:\nEARLY BIRD PRICE: $185\nLATE REGISTRATION: $200\n(Early Bird pricing ends 2 days before the first class) \nClass Times:\n7pm – 9:30pm \nClass Location:\nThis class happens online via Zoom.\nAll classes are password protected.\nStudents should have access to reliable internet connection\, a web cam (may be built into device) and a comfortable space to play where they are able to sit up or stand.\nPlease no lying down or eating during class. \nInstructor:\nIxchel L.\n*instructors subject to change without notice \nAll students should review the improvhi house rules before starting their classes.
