Then “Exploring the Narrative” is the right workshop for you. \nWhether it’s genre-based or not\, we will go after making the story work in a series of exercises designed to get every member of the ensemble on the same page narratively\, without losing improv fundamentals or standard gameplay. Through this workshop your shows will become more clear and satisfying from a story-telling standpoint for both the players and audience. \nAbout David Park: \nDavid was born and raised in Dallas\, Texas where he graduated from Lake Highlands High School. \nDavid then graduated from Colgate University in upstate New York where he performed in the improv group Charred Goosebeak. After graduation\, he worked in New York and then Mexico and finally settled in Los Angeles\, California. \nHe has studied at IOwest\, The Second City and at the Upright Citizens’ Brigade Theater and performs regularly in such groups as Dr. God\, The Lusty Horde\, Trophy Wife and the Friday Forty. \nDavid was recently part of the Second City Tour Company on the high seas. He has appeared on IFC\, AMC\, Comedy Central and the TV Guide Network. Kevin Garcia Doyle (vocals) has been improvising in Hawaii for over twenty years. He was a founding member of Loose Screws and of the Hawaii Shakespeare Festival\, and has written\, directed and acted in shows for University of Hawaii at Mānoa\, Kumu Kahua\, Mānoa Valley Theater\, All The World’s A Stage and the Honolulu Theater for Youth. Doyle was the director of Loose Screws’ nationally acclaimed “Screwbuki\,” which toured to Chicago\, Los Angeles and Seattle. Professionally\, he is the director of the School of the Arts at Mid-Pacific Institute. \nSean T.C. O’Malley (vocals\, electric guitar) is a Philadelphia-born improviser\, musician\, and playwright who has lived in Honolulu for twenty years. During his 17-year stint as a founding member of improv group Loose Screws\, he directed an improvised full-length musical\, “Loose Screws Sing!?!” and was featured on shamisen in the nationally acclaimed improvised Kabuki\, “Screwbuki.” He’s composed musical scores for theatrical works as diverse as Euripedes’ The Trojan Women and Lee Cataluna’s Ulua: The Musical. ANYONE CAN PLAY! NEWBIES VERY WELCOME! \nBe there!!! \nAbout Suzi: \nSuzi Barrett has been studying/performing/teaching improv for 13 years.  She began in Chicago\, as a student of The Second City and ImprovOlympic\, and is a graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade training center in L.A. (where she currently teaches).  Suzi spent three years as a member of the famed Boom Chicago sketch and improv ensemble in Amsterdam\, and toured most of Europe with their touring company.  She currently lives in L.A.\, where she plays with the UCB house team Sentimental Lady and the acclaimed two-person improv team Elephants Gerald\, and frequently appears with Gravid Water\, Soundtrack\, and UCB’s improvised musical: Diamond Lion.  She is a member of the UCB national touring company\, has appeared in over 30 national commercials\, and writes for Funny or Die and ABC’s Wipeout.  Oh\, and she has a dog named Huckle. \nSuzi will be teaching improv workshops on Sept 16th\, 17th and 18th! \nFor more info on Suzi’s intermediate improv workshop: https://improvhi.com/workshops/suzibarrett_intermediate/ \nFor more info on Suzi’s 2 day advanced improv workshop: https://improvhi.com/workshops/suzibarrett_advanced/
